How to look after your hot water bottle to make it last

A well-maintained hot water bottle can last for years. Here's all our advice on how to preserve your warm companion.

• Drain the water after each use
• Let dry with the cap open
• Store flat in a dry place
• Check the condition of the rubber regularly
• Replace every 2-3 years for safety

• Do not wash the part containing the seeds
• Airing regularly to avoid odours
• Washable covers: wash at 30°C
• Avoid humidity which can cause seeds to go mouldy

Care of electric hot water bottles

• Unplug after use
• Clean with a damp cloth
• Don't bend cables
• Store in a dry place
